Over the course of a summer in Italy, Katy will get to know Carol, but not as her mother, but as the young woman who preceded her. However, she is not exactly who Katy imagined she was, and soon, Katy must reconcile her mother who knew everything with the young woman who still knows nothing. A novel about how we move on after loss and how the people we love never really leave us.
